A new housing project is proposed for a triangular site situated between the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the iconic Boston City Hall in downtown Boston. Typologically, the project tries to reassemble and reinvent the housing types, namely the bar type, the tower type, and the courtyard type, grounded and informed by its particular context. Tectonically, the project aims to integrate the superstructure and the infrastructure, leading to the reinvention of columns as shafts, thus the concealment of the pipes and ducts liberates the domestic space while celebrating its absence through its architectural presence.
